PUBLICK OCCURRENCES — May 2, 2022

Learn how to craft stories for your museum through thoughtful and creative storytelling methods with Jonathan Mirin of Piti Theatre Company.

This year’s Mass History Conference will be both in-person and online! Join us in person June 6, 2022 for the keynote address, a casual lunch, and group activities with friends and colleagues from across the state. The in-person program will include the workshop Storytelling for Curators, led by Piti Theatre Company‘s Jonathan Mirin.

Theater and film professionals tell stories about all kinds of things every day. But what makes a great story versus a so-so one? In this workshop, Mirin will give a behind-the-scenes look at how he crafts stories for theater, video, and podcasts based on historical content. Workshop participants will practice telling the stories they most need to tell – whether it’s about their collections, the issues that need Board attention, or about their institution itself.

The workshop is open to all who register for the full conference, but space is limited! Register today to claim your spot.
