Are you hoping to leave the Mass History Conference with actionable skills? These conference workshops are focused on teaching History professionals the skills they need to succeed in a digital world.

In Transcription Through the Letters of Catharine Maria Sedgwick, Lucinda Damon-Bach of Salem State University will introduce participants to the life and writings of Catherine Maria Sedgwick as well as the on-going recovery of her voluminous correspondence for the NEH-funded project, “The Letters of Catharine Maria Sedgwick.” Participants will learn about the process of scholarly documentary editing and have the opportunity to practice transcription with a scanned original manuscript.

In Using Google Analytics to Promote Your Museum, Julie Arrison-Bishop of MuseumTastic will cover the very basics of how to “read” Google Analytics so that you can learn about which people are discovering your digital presence and engaging with your online content. This workshop will cover key measurements including traffic acquisition, channels, events, content engagement, path exploration, and creating a data dashboard with Looker Studio.

Both workshops recommend participants bring their own laptop to participate in hands-on, digital learning.

Registration for the conference is live. All conference workshops have limited space, so register soon to guarantee your spot!
