Sarah Morgan (@cookingwiththefirstladies) has a bachelor’s degree in history and a passion for presenting women’s history in a fun, unique way by combining it with recipes. After cooking through all the First Ladies of the United States using a cookbook found at a thrift store back in 2019, she started providing virtual content for the National First Ladies Library and continues to present quarterly live programs. Sarah has also delved into the “First Ladies” of the Women’s Suffrage movement, particularly those in her home state of Tennessee, and the tools they used to get the right to vote, which included Suffrage Cookbooks. Currently, she is partnering with the American Museum of Science and Energy with her project, Cooking With The Calutron Girls, which focuses on the stories and recipes of the women of Oak Ridge, TN and the role they played during the Manhattan Project through diving into Cooking Behind the Fence.
