Edouard Lussan has worked on more than ten video games and interactive titles combining fiction and historical reconstructions. He created three games based on medieval themes — ‘Crusades’, ‘Vikings’, ‘Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood’; as well as ‘Operation Teddy Bear’, which was recognized by the Mémorial de Caen for its historical accuracy. In 2003, he created the concept and brand ‘Sniper Elite’, which has sold over 10 million copies since its release in 2005. Lussan has worked in France, Canada, and England in several development studios, allowing him to acquire the necessary skills in the world of digital production, combining new technologies and interactivity. In 2014, he co-founded Histovery with Bruno de Sa Moreira, a company specializing in the design, production, and distribution of HistoPad, an augmented reality tour solution on tablet devices for monuments and museums. As Chief Content Officer, his role is to design immersive and interactive HistoPad experiences and lead a production team of around twenty people. Based on video game technologies, the HistoPad production team includes project managers, 3D and 2D artists, animators, and developers. To ensure the historical accuracy of each HistoPad, he coordinates production with Scientific Committees, bringing together recognized experts who validate the content from a scientific standpoint. Since 2019, HistoPad has expanded internationally with augmented exhibitions, such as ‘Airborne – Freedom from Above’, deployed at the National Museum of the U.S. Army (Washington, D.C.), and ‘Notre-Dame de Paris’, which is touring worldwide from 2022 to 2025. As of today, the HistoPad is deployed in over 20 sites across France, Germany, and the USA. In 2025, it will launch in Belgium, at the Fortress of Dinant.
