Dan Coonan (dancoonanauthor.com) has been a leader in the field of intercollegiate athletics for over twenty years. He took over as Commissioner of the ECAC eight years ago after serving for a dozen years as Athletic Director at Santa Clara University. He has also practiced law, run a Congressional campaign, and served as Chairman of Lifemoves, the largest homeless shelter network in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has published two novels: Presidential Spirits and Another Round — a political version of Field of Dreams or Midnight in Paris. He has a book about baseball coming out in 2025 and another novel coming in 2026.
