Dr. Rebekah Beaulieu is the new AASLH book series editor.
The book series editor works with the AASLH Editorial Board and Aja Bain, AASLH Program and Publications Manager, to publish books that connect the people engaged in history work to new questions, ideas, perspectives, and each other. By featuring news, current issues, trends, and best practices from throughout the history community, our books inform, inspire, challenge, and link together those who preserve and interpret the past.
Beaulieu is the Director of the Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme, Connecticut. She is also an AASLH Council member and Vice President of the New England Museum Association. She serves on the faculty of AASLH’s History Leadership Institute and as a course instructor for AASLH Professional Development.
Beaulieu’s dissertation for Boston University was a study of the financial models in historic house museums. She is the author of two books: Financial Fundamentals for Historic House Museums and Endowment Essentials for Museums, which will be published by AASLH in August.
“It is a privilege to serve as the series editor for the AASLH book series,” said Beaulieu. “Titles published under the AASLH banner have been instrumental in my development as a scholar and a practitioner, and I can’t wait to collaborate with the AASLH Editorial Board, staff, and authors to ensure the relevance and value of the series moving forward.”
