In addition to using collections for instruction, the primary mission of the Phillips Academy Archives is to appraise, collect, organize, preserve and provide access to records documenting the history of Phillips Academy. Archives and Special Collections also holds rare books and other historical materials that support the curriculum.

Directions

From Boston, Logan Airport or Points South:
Take I-93 North to Exit 41. Merge Right onto RT-125 towards Andover. Travel for two miles then merge right onto Route 28 North. Follow Route 28 for roughly 3 miles until you reach the Phillips Academy Campus.

From Points West:
Travel I-495 North to Exit 41A. At the end of the ramp, merge onto Route 28 South. Drive straight for two miles through the town of Andover to reach the Phillips Academy campus.

From Points North:
If coming from Vermont or Central New Hampshire, take I-93 South to I495 North, Exit 44A. Drive on I-495 for two miles to Route 28 South, Exit 41A. At the end of the ramp, merge onto Route 28 South. Drive straight for two miles through the town of Andover to reach the Phillips Academy campus.

If coming from Maine or Eastern New Hampshire, take I-495 South to Route 28 South, Exit 41. At the end of the ramp, merge onto Route 28 South. Drive straight for two miles through the town of Andover to reach the Phillips Academy campus.

By Train:
The Andover train station is located about a mile away from the Phillips Academy Campus. Commuter trains on the Haverhill line run to and from Boston regularly throughout the day. Please check the MBTA Web site or call 800-392-6100 or 617-222-3200 for schedules and fares.
