Publick Occurrences

March 22, 2021

Don’t miss the deadline!

Time is running out to make your nominations for the Bay State Legacy Award! Do you know someone who has made long-term outstanding contributions to local or public history in Massachusetts? This individual can be a volunteer or professional from any field or organization involved in local and public history, archives, academia, or beyond.

The Bay State Historical League, which dissolved in 2005, awarded the John F. Ayer award to individuals who made significant contributions to the study of Massachusetts history. The Massachusetts History Alliance carries on the BSHL’s legacy of service and recognition with the Bay State Legacy Award. In 2020, we were interrupted in our process by COVID-19. We’re carrying over the nominees, but are looking for more names.

Don’t forget to submit your nomination! The deadline for nominations is March 24, 2021
