Gedney House, Salem, Mass.; select Thursdays and Saturday in September and October

Using music, movement, and macabre pageantry, Theater in the Open explores the emotional tension and otherworldly atmosphere that underscore Edgar Allan Poe’s works in one of Salem’s oldest houses. Your favorite fearful Poe poems and stories—including The Raven and The Cask of Amontillado—come to life at Gedney House under lantern light at this all-ages show.
