Alford Free Public Library

, ,

The Alford Children’s Library is dedicated to the memory of Susan Smith Andersen; it’s located in the Alford Town Hall and is open on Saturday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00p.m. It is a small library and does not keep information concerning local genealogy, etc. (See the Massachusetts Library System for more information on local libraries and see sites like Ancestry.com for family genealogy information.)

Although we do not have an adult library, free public Wi-Fi internet access is available. We also have a partnership with the Great Barrington Library, which allows our residents to obtain books through inter-library loan. In addition, we purchase passes to the Norman Rockwell Museum, The Clark Museum, and Ventford Hall, which can be signed out by families for discounts on admission costs. To sign out a pass, or for more information, feel free to stop by the library on Saturday mornings when the children’s library is open or contact our librarian.
