The Fairhaven Historical Society is a member-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the history of Fairhaven, Massachusetts for future generations. The Society operates the Fairhaven Historical Society Museum, located in the Academy Building at 141 Main Street, to showcase a collection of Fairhaven art, artifacts, and other historical items. The Society offers an annual $1000 Enrique Goytizolo Scholarship to a Fairhaven resident high school senior interested in the study of history. The Fairhaven Historical Society’s activities serve to supplement the work of the Fairhaven Office of Tourism and the Town of Fairhaven Historical Commission.
