Shelburne Historical Society

The Shelburne Historical Society Museum is located at the corner of Maple and Church Street, housed in the former Arms Academy High School (1880-1967). Admission is free. The Society’s aim is the preservation of local history and the stories told through objects. The archives house a large collection of bound manuscripts, diaries, account books, and other ephemera that are being inventoried for the first time. The museum also includes period rooms, original paintings, maps, records and artifacts from local businesses and military veterans, as well as a room dedicated to the original Arms Academy students and their descendants. We happily invite active volunteers and future docents as we continue revitalization of the building and collections.
